How does YOUR knowledge of Pair Of Dice Paradise compare to these contestants? Test your skill in this Wits & Wagers trivia challenge! At BGGcon this year, I hosted a "Wits & Wagers Invitational", which was open to all supporters of PoDP and friends of the show who were at the convention. The result was a very special board gaming experience that was one of the highlights of the entire convention for me. Enjoy!

Theme. There's many common themes in board games. But what happens when a game designer wanders outside the realm of familiar themes and tries something different?Today, Joel Eddy of Drive Thru Review and I discuss our opinions on what board game themes work, which ones don't, and why.

Fellow board game reviewer and friend of the show, Tiffany from TheOneTAR, is recovering from some surgery this week, and she asked me to guest host an episode for her channel. Now, if you exist on this planet, I’m going to assume that you’ve heard of, perhaps even played, the often-ridiculed game: Monopoly. But that’s the great thing about the current state of Monopoly. If you despise the original version, you can almost certainly find a variation of it that’s “comparatively less not good”. And, for me, that game is Monopoly Millionaire Deal.

I have some background in publishing, so there’s a thrill I get from the bouquet of freshly printed publications. In the mid-90’s, when I was introduced to Magic: The Gathering, every pack offered the opportunity of odoriferous inebriation. There’s nothing else that quite smells like a fresh pack of Magic cards. Can the scent of a freshly cracked pack become habit forming?

This is an extended version of the segment I contributed to episode #28 of The Dice Tower's Board Game Breakfast program. It's part 2 of 3 in the series of tips for upgrading the components in AEG's Trains game. The segments on Board Game Breakfast are limited to two minutes, and sometimes the footage I shoot runs longer, and parts need to be cut out. This, the original version, contains about 20 seconds of footage that had been removed.

If I may be so bold, I’d like to offer my take on a question that was featured on episode #348 of the Dice Tower audio podcast. The question comes from listener Rob. Rob runs a gaming group, but when members fail to show up or are late, it can prevent his entire group from playing. So he asks: should you require people to RSVP, and how can you prevent late members from delaying the event?
